Purpose

Edge sanding machine S-S2W2 is designed for sanding in automatic mode edges of facade profiles, furniture parts, door frame elements and others. It is used for sanding blanks from solid wood, MDF, veneered parts, primed surfaces.

The machine is equipped with the following types of working units:

• "S" – sanding unit with pneumatic pressure bar – 2 pcs.
• "W" – universal sanding unit – 2 pcs.

Main features

• The parts are fed by a chain conveyor with rubberized pads attached to it.

• The belt speed is adjusted by frequency converter, suitable for sanding edges of different materials.
• The sanding units can be adjusted from -45° to +45° to adapt to linear sanding of ends with a certain angle change.
• The electrical cabinet and control panel with controller and touch screen are located in a separate stand.

Engineering advantages

The control panel with intuitive interface and the electric cabinet are located on a separate stand. The software allows you to control all operating parameters of the machine.

The parts are fed by a chain conveyor with rubberized pads fixed to it. The parts are fixed on the conveyor along its entire length by an upper pressure beam with two rows of rubberized rollers and a belt. The position of the parts is according to the base ruler. This system of feeding and fixing the workpieces on both sides ensures reliable and smooth feeding, eliminating the possibility of the workpiece shifting.

Sanding is performed by an endless sanding belt with a pneumatic pressure bar. For leveling the edge surface and eliminating mechanical processing defects (wave, step, saw marks). The degree of pressure, the moment of switching on/off are regulated, which eliminates resanding and knocking down the angles of the workpiece entry into the unit's operating area. The unit has an adjustable tilt angle relative to the horizon, which allows you to adjust it to any profile.

Features of the sanding unit:

• 2 electric motors of 2.2 kW (1420 rpm), speed 0-14 m/min is regulated by a replaceable frequency controller Shilin (Taiwan);
• Oscillation mechanism. Pressure adjustment of the clamping bar by means of a pneumatic cylinder.
• Blowing the tape with compressed air, aspiration casing with a branch pipe.
• Sanding belt size: 2300x80 mm,
• The angle of inclination of the sanding unit is -45° – +45°.

The contact cylinder of the universal sanding unit "W" can be equipped with different types of sanding material depending on the needs.

Features of the universal sanding unit:

• 2 electric motors of 1.5 kW (1420 rpm), speed 0-12 m/min is regulated by a replaceable frequency controller Shilin (Taiwan);
• Sanding belt size: 890x100 mm;
• Oscillation system. Automatic abrasive wear compensation system.
• The angle of inclination of the sanding unit is -45° – +45°.
• Tape blower, aspiration casing with branch pipe.

Brush drums are used for sanding profile edges of workpieces.

For sanding flat edges of workpieces, sanding belts are used together with a sponge roller.

To achieve results on complex profiles, Scotch-Brite is used with counter-profile milling.

Octagonal sanding paper is mounted on a universal spindle for sanding recesses and grooves on a profile.
