The KDT Line-2 automatic line based on 2 NC-drilling centers KD-612THA is designed for high-precision drilling of blind and through holes in the planes and ends of furniture parts in the through-feed or return mode, according drilling plan. This automatic line allows you to eliminate the human factor as much as possible and speed up the work of the additive section.

Engineering advantages
The machine is equipped with a Windows-based industrial computer. The CAD/CAM control panel features barcode scanning capability, helping to increase machine productivity.
An intelligent vision system for barcode and QR code recognition is installed on the worktable. It automatically scans the code and identifies the required machining program.
The machine is equipped with 4 drilling units comprising 18 horizontal spindles and 44 vertical spindles (26 upper and 18 lower). The standard configuration includes 2 routing units rated at 5.5 kW and 3.5 kW.
Thanks to its 6-sided drilling capability, the machine can simultaneously process the panel from above and below within a single working cycle.
2 routing spindles rated at 5.5 kW and 3.5 kW, operating at 18000 rpm (upper and lower). Thanks to its increased power, the upper routing spindle can work with various tools and perform different operations, including routing for LAMELLO fittings, side routing and grooving.

Two automatic clamps securely hold workpieces from 200 to 2800 mm long and reduce the number of regripping operations required during drilling. This significantly increases the working cycle speed compared with machines equipped with a single clamp. The maximum speed has been increased to 140 m/min.
The minimum workpiece size is 200x45 mm, enabling the drilling of small-format parts.
The upper routing spindle is equipped with a powerful vertical hold-down system featuring two pressure plates. It improves routing accuracy and prevents damage to the workpiece.
The workpiece is positioned on the machine by an automatic side alignment device. After the barcode is scanned, the side alignment device moves as close as possible to the workpiece according to its dimensions. The workpiece rests against the X-axis zero reference, while the side alignment device positions it along the Y-axis. Two pneumatic clamps then transfer the workpiece into the machine’s working area for further processing.
The side alignment device ensures accurate operation by being mounted on a linear guide using two bearing carriages. Its movement is driven by a servo motor.
Movable plates in the drilling area enable through routing. Easy movement of workpieces across the table is ensured by an airflow supplied through openings in the table surface by a dedicated electric blower. This prevents scratches from forming on the underside of the workpiece.
The machine is equipped as standard with a conveyor for removing chips and small workpiece offcuts.

The machine frame was developed using CAD systems to calculate and simulate the maximum permissible loads and structural requirements. The welded frame undergoes stress-relief heat treatment to eliminate internal stresses in the material. It is then machined on a five-axis metalworking machining center, where all mounting surfaces and holes for installing the machine units and components are precisely milled.
The sealed dust- and moisture-resistant cabinet contains electronic components from leading global manufacturers and is located outside the machining area. This extends the service life of the electronic components and provides convenient access for maintenance.
